Born in East Texas, Mt.Vernon to be exact, I moved to West Texas in the fall of my Jr. year of high school.I graduated from Idalou High in 1993, attended South Plains College in Levelland for a year and married my high school sweetheart, Kent Ballard in 1994.Kent and I moved to Weatherford, OK, in the summer of 1994 where we worked, lived and finished our degrees at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.I received my Bachelor of Science in Education and Early Childhood, and Kent received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.We moved to Plainview in December of 1998.
I stayed at home with our two beautiful daughters until 2001, when I began teaching at Calico Caboose.I taught at Calico Caboose for two years and began working in the children’s ministry at the end of that second year.After doing both jobs part time, I felt the call to full time ministry with children.I have been the Children’s Pastor at First Church for 6 years now!
When I’m not at “work”, I am fully engaged in being a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.Our girls keep us very busy showing pigs and playing ROCK BAND!
